1st Annual Dia De Los Toadies - Possum Kingdom Lake

well, we had the silly idea to host our own annual festival, not unlike Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic that has been happening in Texas every year for some 30-odd years. it happened this past weekend and was actually more of a blast that any of us could have imagined.
the place filled up with sunburnt, punch-drunk Texans (and actually lots of people who travelled a great distance to be there), members of the Palo Pinto police force (who were booed en masse by the crowd) and lots of our friends and families.
with the stage backed right up to beautiful Possum Kingdom Lake, we saw sets by Lions (above), Dove Hunter, Backsliders and the Tejas Brothers (hell yes!!). there was beer drinking, food eating, and even some high-diving from pontoons out on the lake.
it was truly a complete fucking blast and we’re all looking forward to many more of these in the future. I hope you join us for them.
