Philly/NYC - 48 hour food consumption tally

basically, a tour for me is one long food run, with shows in between.   food is usually the best part of any day, and when your day involves 10 sweaty dudes shadowing you 24-7, you take every opportunity for joy.  and generally speaking, meat+cheese+bread is just what the doctor ordered.  therefore I was looking forward to the first two stops on this leg of the tour.

Philadelphia

2.5 Cheesteaks - from Jim’s Steaks

and I go for the Cheesesteak sammy with Provolone and the smear of Cheese Whiz, along with pizza sauce for good measure.  and Hell no! I don’t get onions.


New York

7 slices from various joints - Ray’s, Patsy’s, Abatino’s (pictured below), and more.

Patsy’s was the best.  mostly this time, I stuck to the Margherita pie, with its fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce (yes, I pluck the basil from the pie before consumption)
